Samir Dourid vs Dmitri Valent WKN World title REVENGE

Saturday, October 22 Minsk Arena in Belarus will host BIG-8 muaythai WKN European Grand Prix where along with 8 man tournament French Samir Dourid will try to take a World title revenge against Dmitri Valent.

Belarus Dmitri Valent will be defending the belt that have been holding since 2007. He this title by the left hook knock out against Dourid at the United Russia show promoted in Kostrama on November 11.

The defense was against Shane Campbel from Canada at BIG-8 on September 12, 2009 and on February 6, 2010 he also beat in Dijon, France local Yohan Lidon.

Dmitri Valent is also a WKN European GP 2008 Switzerland winner. The four man tournament was promoted on May 3 in Geneva where Dmitri won on points Alexandru Nedelcu in the semi-final and knocked out by the spinning back elbow Farid M’laika.

The only big upset in Valent’s career seems to the World title fight in a lighter weight division versus John Wayne Parr here in Perth on March 13, 2010 where Parr took points decision. (Photos )
