On January 21 Russian-Dagestan fighter Dzhabar Askerov will try his best take a revenge versus Buakaw Por Pramuk in Italy – INTERVIEW.
Fightmag.net: Hi Dzhabar how’s it going two weeks before the fight with Buakaw ? Where and how have you been training ?
Dzhabar Askerov: Hi mate, yes im fighting vs Bukaw on 21 January in Milano. It will be a tough fight and for this fight Im prepering in Russia back home in Dagestan at my old gym where I began my training. It’s really old style gym and I have a good sparing partners here. But I supposed to train for this fight in Sweden at VBC gym with my mates, I had everything there to train – an awesome place, good coaches and full furnished gym. But due some family things I had to come back to Russia and train here. Everything what happens, happens for a reason.
Fightmag.net: Tell us about your previous fight with him ? You are obviously going to take a revenge ?
Dzhabar Askerov: When first time I fought Buakaw it was 6 years ago in Eastern Europe GP and I was just experienced young fighter. It was a tough exam for me. But I know this time it will be a different fight with different game InshaALLAH and I’ll do my best to beat him.
Fightmag.net: What was your biggest achievement so far ?
Dzhabar Askerov: Honestly I think it will b in future. Right now I can tell my biggest goal is that I’m a recognized fighter around the world.
Fightmag.net: Who was the hardest opponent by now and what was the most memorised of all your previous fights ?
Dzhabar Askerov: I think the hardest fight will be as well in future, but I love experience I got in all fights of K-1, from qualification in Sweden till Final 18 in Japan.
Fightmag.net: Starting from the very begging, tell us why and where did you start muay thai ?
Dzhabar Askerov: I’m saying thanks to ALLAH and my Father who passed away,who took me to the gym and introduced to the sport. I began when I was 8 years old and been fighting most time of my life. I hated it in the start and did it only for my father. But now I love it and still doing for memory of my father.
Fightmag.net: Tell us about your living and stay in Thailand.
Dzhabar Askerov: i been living in Thailand for 7 years. But now I’m in Russia for a while. I don’t know where I’m going next. Maybe I’ll b back to Thailand, Europe or hopefully Australia. Would love it. I had a dream to come over and live in the LAND UNDER.
Fightmag.net: You were planning to move in Australia, is it still planned and how is it going ?
Dzhabar Askerov: Yes still planing and I want it so much! I want to train, fight and teach kids over there, give them my knowledge, InshaALLAH I can do that in future. I’m working on it right now.
Fightmag.net: Apart of Pramuk, anybody in particular would you like to rematch or fight ?
Dzhabar Askerov: I would love to fight and rematch everyone who I fought and lost, all of them I’m sure InshaALLAH I can beat them.
Fightmag.net: Any plans for the future ? What you’ll be doing after finishing fight career ?
Dzhabar Askerov: Well it depends where I will be living. If it will be Russia I would work in sport industry or business or if InshaALLAH ill be in Europe or finally in the LAND UNDER I will train people and grow some new champions.
