Rob Powdrill on the Road to the WKN World title, France March 17 (Video)
Friday, February 3rd, 2012 By Fightmag.net
On Saturday March 17 Perth’s Rob Powdrill will be challenging the WKN World kickboxing title against Francis Tavares in France.
In Australia Rob Powdrill is the man who needs no introduction. 48 times he fought under muaythai & kickboxing rules, 6 times he stepped into MMA cage & also 3 times he competed in English boxing.
Rob Powdrill is a 5-time Australian national champion, South Pacific champion & 2 time Western Australia champion; and around 17 times he was broadcast by Fox Sports TV.
Along with his fight name Power Drill Axe Kick, Rob may be also called a universal fighter… When we spoke prior his last MMA fight (won by KO in the first round) he mentioned that obviously he wasn’t a wrestler, though he said he loves fighting bare hands. In muay thai he is using all-around techniques, knees, thai elows and everything.
The WKN World title challenge in France next month versus Francis Tavares will be under kickboxing rules, where those knees and elbows are not allowed. Though Powdrill is confident in his boxing skills and of course those lethal leg kicks.
