Romanian kickboxer & boxer pulled out from the final of National boxing championship & selection to the National Team due to the coming fight versus Australian heavyweight Nathan Carnage Corbett at Kings of Kombat 7 next Saturday (June 23) in Melbourne.

During last week Adrian Marc competed at Romanian National Championship 2012 fighting at +91kg weight division. He won the quarter-final and the semi-final by KO & TKO against Mădălin Nicolae & Adrian Lepădătescu.
His management and himself made a decision to cancel participation in the final bout versing Mihai Nistor, considering the risk of injuries, fatigue and importance of the next weekend’s challenge against Nathan Corbett in Australia. However Adrian Marc was expected to take the final win too.
On Saturday June 23 in Melbourne Adrian Marc is facing Nathan Corbett at Kings of Kombat 7 where they will share the ring under WKN Kickboxing Oriental Rules (K-1 Style).
“I have the biggest respect for Nathan Corbett and it’s an honor for me to fight him. But I come to Australia to beat him for the pride of Romania” – Adrian Marc said last week.
Brave Romanian will try his best taking on the best muaythai heavyweight and he considers his chances high enough to deliver the win against Nathan Corbett.
We all know how strong Nathan Corbett is, especially when it comes to his original style – full muay thai rules. Though Melbourne’s event is matched for K-1 style where the use of elbows is not allowed. Nevertheless Nathan has great boxing skills in combination with the powerful leg & middle kicks.
It will be a 95 kilogram bout, and as we all know one punch or kick can end everything in one second. Though we are all expecting a tough 5 rounds competitions where intrigue is quite big as for Nathan Corbett this fight is considered as a step forward prior the grudge fight – rematch versus Steve McKinnon which will be held in Gold Coast as a headliner of Total Carnage 2.
Let’s see what happens…
